Located in the heart of London, Fabric is one of the city’s premier venues. Over 10 years of operation, the superclub founded by Keith and Cameron Leslie acquired an international reputation while maintaining the underground edge.
+ Venue
Founded by Keith Reilly and Cameron Leslie, Fabric opened in October 1999, after years of planning and elaboration. Situated in the earth of London, the club occupies the renovated space of the Metropolitan Cold Stores, opposite of the Smithfield Meat Market. Made up of 3 main separated rooms, each of which has its own bar, dancefloor and independant sound system, the whole place spreads over 2 levels with a total area of 2 320 m² (25,000 sq ft). Although its capacity of 2,500 people, expect long queues at the entrance.
Fabric boasts a unique set of the latest technology in terms of sound and lighting. 5 mega sound systems are spread over the place and result in an amazingly clear, high-quality sound, wherever you are.
Last but not least, Fabric’s Room One is equipped with the first European bass-loaded “bodysonic” dancefloor. Sections of the floor emit bass frequencies of the music being played, allowing clubbers to feel the music into their body via their feet. In addition of being one of the most sought-after venues in the world, Fabric also developed its own record label series of remixes…
Ah and some good news: Fabric operates a 24-hour drinking licence so one can party until the early morning and then have breakfast in one of the many cafés around.
